“I have changed, Alckmin has changed and Brazil has changed. I was Alckmin’s adversary, not his enemy. Happy was Brazil that had a dispute between two democratic parties, because there was a civilized debate on the government program”, the former labor leader said during a radio interview.
Recently, Alckmin also exalted his former adversary. At the PSB affiliation last month, the former governor commented that Lula “represents democracy itself.”
The former mechanic also told radio station T in southern Parana that the country does not currently have a full democracy and President Jair Bolsonaro attacks it as well as the press every day.
In response to other questions, Lula ruled out the possibility that former President Dilma Rousseff joins a possible Government of his as a minister.
