Based on the experience of last year’s shipment of three containers with solidarity loads that included medical equipment and supplies, the Cuban resident in Belgium told Prensa Latina that extending the initiative to benefit sports areas, childcare centers and homes for the elderly is possible.
We recognize that this is an ambitious idea, but we want to dream in this collective construction and we have already taken the first steps, said Romero, who in a recent visit to the land where he was born, included plans to the project founded last year.
According to the coordinator, fundraising activities are underway and others will be developed soon, actions in which Belgian solidarity associations and Cuban residents in different regions of the country are actively participating.
For the founder of the solidarity initiative in Belgium, achieving each shipment is complex and challenging, but the love for Cuba and its people makes every effort and sacrifice worthwhile.
