Our ties are deep and solid in the political, economic and parliamentary aspects, and we are working to fortify them in benefit of the interests of the two peoples, Al-Mekdad said during the reception to the Iranian lawmaker at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Damascus.
The Syrian diplomat also condemned the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States and its Western allies on Damascus and Tehran, which he described as immoral.
For his part, Nikzad said the two nations are equally determined to make serious efforts to achieve a genuine economic and trade partnership, especially in the reconstruction phase.
The strategic relations between Iran and Syria do not cease and we have a common vision regarding the global developments, he explained.
The lawmaker reiterated his country’s rejection to the foreign interference and the US unilateral sanctions imposed on Syria.
