“The heinous attacks do not make the occupation any less criminal and, in any case, they do not make the occupation forces’ invasion of Jenin any more legitimate,” Deputy Ofer Cassif tweeted.
Soldiers entered the town this morning to arrest a suspect involved in the attack that took place two days ago in the city of Bnei Brak, causing six deaths, including the assailant.
“It is necessary to stop the occupation. Stop killing!” said the politician, a member of the Joint List, a small left-wing Arab coalition with six seats in the Parliament.
Legislator Ahmed Tibi, whose party is part of that alliance, also condemned the offensive by the Tel Aviv troops and described the death of a 17-year-old boy as a heinous crime.
As a result of the operation in Jenin, a shootout broke out between the military and Palestinian militiamen, according to images from various Arab television stations.
