The newspaper highlights that during 408 raids in those five years, 5,500 missiles or rockets were used “to prevent Iran from gaining a foothold on Israel’s northern borders and smuggling advanced weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon.”
Only in 2021, dozens of air operations were carried out, hitting 174 targets, the text stressed.
Without specifying which countries were bombed, the publication referred to Syria’s range of anti-aircraft systems.
Damascus authorities has repeatedly denounced to the United Nations Security Council the Israeli air strikes, pointing out that they violate treaties, international conventions and national sovereignty.
