In an interview granted to Últimas Noticias website, the deputy, when questioned on the subject, expressed that “personally, I think it is important that this dialogue be held here in Venezuela because we Venezuelans are the ones who can really overcome our own differences. Here are all the given conditions.”
She stressed that all the factors under negotiation have the same objective and that is to advance the country in the economy, society and politics.
Regarding the fluidity of the process and the role of the opposition, he emphasized, “a dialogue with people who respond to imperial interests, who sit down and then receive a call, then kick the table, it is very complex (…) they are not serious and they are not exactly willing for the country to go to a citizen reconciliation”.
Montero recalled that this will be a new stage, which she described as interesting, because other actors in Venezuelan politics will be included, who she also assured, are committed to peace and the advancement of the country.
She stressed that the nation comes first, and that there must be unity among Venezuelans, beyond political stance and ideological differences.
As vice president of parliament, she began her political career as a student leader from where she was appointed vice minister for Productive and Working Youth, while since 2020 she has served as general secretary of the Somos Venezuela Movement.
