The country´s present hospitalization rate reached 9,587, so 5,695 of them are suspected cases, 20 under health surveillance and 3,872 are confirmed active cases, according to the daily report by Cuba´s Public Health Ministry (MINSAP, in Spanish).

Out of the overall cases reported on Saturday, 799 were contacts of already confirmed cases, eight with infection contact abroad and 15 with no determined origin of infection.

Local health authorities gave 730 medical discharges, so Cuba´s overall recovery toll jumped to 1,074,743 (98.9% of all those confirmed).

As many as 3,872 Covid-19 patients are presently hospitalized, 3,839 with stable clinical progress, while 33 in ICUs: 6 in critical conditions and 27 seriously ill.

Provinces reporting highest rate with more than 100 cases were Ciego de Ávila (137) and Camagüey (102).

Cuba has reached 1,087,183 diagnosed cases since March 11, 2020, so the country´s total death toll climbed to 8,509

The country has recently shown an increased Covid-19 cases toll, for which local health authorities have called for keeping compliance with biosafety measures and speeding up booster dose vaccination with homegrown candidates.
