The news media highlighted that President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi received the credentials of Vladimir Gonzalez, as the new Cuban Ambassador to that Arab nation, with residence in Riyadh, on Thursday.

During the meeting, the president explained the latest developments of his country due to the war that has lasted almost eight years and his Government’s efforts to achieve peace.

He also praised Cuba’s support for Yemen in several international forums, Saba stated.

For its part, a communique from the Cuban Embassy in Saudi Arabia stressed that during the meeting, Gonzalez ratified Havana’s will to continue developing and strengthening the bilateral relations in different spheres.

The president and the diplomat coincided in describing the ties of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Yemen as historic, the text underlined.
