Cuba reaffirms its stance to continuing to honor commitments as member of international organizations and agencies, Edilen Pita Rodríguez, first secretary of the Permanent Mission of Cuba in Switzerland, said.
Speaking at the 344th ILO Board of Directors, Ms. Rodríguez said that a decision on the increased contributions will be unrealistic, and not only for Cuba, but for many ILO member States.
It caught our attention that for some countries, even developed ones, there was no increased contributions, she noted.
We strongly believe that the scale of apportionment of all ILO member States should have remained the same as the previous year, the Cuban diplomat claimed.
To Cuba, facing current economic crisis, without giving up social achievements and protecting its people, has been a challenge, Pita Rodríguez stated.
Likewise, Cuban situation is worsened due to the unprecedented tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, she noted.
