Authorities demanded to inspect and assess the dangers caused by the inauguration of major projects, fall of transportation and tourism revenues, rising commodity prices and manufacturing costs increase.
“China should remain alert to deal with accidents and disasters taking into account that temperature usually fluctuates greatly in spring and natural disasters are prone to occur,” the authorities stated in a document. The Government called to issue timely early warnings and implement measures such as suspension from work, production, traffic and school classes to avoid mass casualties at any sign of danger.
The provision follows a China Eastern Airlines plane crash with 132 people on board on Monday, in a mountainous area of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, south of China, while flying from Kunming to Guangzhou.
