If the Cuban people and Revolution have overcome so many drawbacks in over 60 years and reached success in education, health and other sectors, it´s due in large part to the friendly support, Mr. Peñalver stressed.
Over 70 representatives of French and Latin American solidarity associations, unions and political forces attended the event held at the Cuban embassy in France, where Mr. Peñalver detailed an update on the Cuban reality and challenges, and also exchanged criteria with participants.
In this regard, Mr. Peñalver recalled that Cuba continues to be under attack by the economic, commercial and financial US blockade, a policy tightened by former President Donald Trump with 243 additional measures.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden has not only kept such hostile steps unchanged, on the contrary, he has included new ones, the Cuban diplomat said.
Such aggressions and destabilization attempts including those promoted by the Jul. 11 riots collide with the Cubans´ will and spirit.
Peñalver insisted on thanking those who have made their efforts firmly in defense of the Cuban Revolution, in the fight against US blockade and so that Cuba is respected.
