Cuban Ambassador to India Alejandro Simancas and IETO President Asif Iqbal participated in the opening ceremony of the center, which will promote commercial and economic relations between the two countries.

Murthy Devarabhotla, commercial commissioner of the Cuba Bureau, explained the purpose of exploring and identifying business, trade and investment opportunities between Cuban and Indian companies.

Devarabhotla highlighted the strong potential of the city of Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana, one of the main industrial and high-tech centers in the country.

The source announced the preparation of an Indian business delegation that will go to Havana in late April.

The Cuban ambassador praised the efforts made by IETO to make the creation of this office a reality, which will be a benchmark in the development of relations and the traditional friendship between both peoples.

At the Cuba-India business event organized by IETO, Murthy Devarabhotla signed three memorandums of understanding with different Indian institutions to promote the commercialization of Cuban rum, tourism and cultural relations.

Likewise, the realization for these purposes of a Tollywood film production in Cuba, as the Telangana film industry is known, is planned.
