This was confirmed through his Twitter account by the General Director of Consular Affairs and Cubans Resident Abroad (Daccre), Ernesto Soberón.
According to the island’s Embassy in Minsk, the Cubans were able to enter that country after successive contacts with the competent authorities.
“Our diplomatic headquarters will continue to provide consular assistance to these nationals, as well as their families and friends, and remains in communication with the immigration authorities to resolve the situation of Cubans who still remain in the border territory,” Soberón added.
The official recently reported that the Cuban embassies in Minsk and Warsaw sent verbal notes to the authorities of those nations about the complex situation of the island’s citizens, among whom are minors.
The Caribbean Foreign Ministry assured that the diplomatic missions will provide information and consular attention to those who require it, in reference to the arrival of nationals from Ukraine to Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary.
