The head of Cuban diplomacy praised the historic and friendly ties between the two nations, in particular the support for his country in the confrontation with Covid-19 and in the face of the blockade imposed by the United States for more than 60 years.
The Mexican political leader, in turn, thanked Cuba for the work of health care workers who supported her country in treating Covid-19 patients.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged criteria on international events and the challenges being faced by Latin America and the Caribbean, according to the website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Citlalli Hernandez is accompanied during her visit to Cuba by lawmakers, senators and other activists from Morena.
Previously, she also met with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
