Canciller-Turquia
Ankara, Mar 14 (Prensa Latina) Turkey denied the news about a Russian bombing of a mosque in the city of Mariupol, in southeastern Ukraine, in a statement issued by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday.

The foreign minister gave a speech at the closing session of the International Diplomacy Forum that took place in Antalya from March 11 to 13.

“In the mosque that is there, there are our citizens with whom we maintain telephone contacts and once this is interrupted by satellite,” said the head of Turkish diplomacy, who was quoted by Anadolu news agency.

On March 12, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba reported that the Russian military bombed a mosque in Mariupol where more than 80 people were sheltering.

The fake ews quickly spread on international media, especially in the West. For his part, Cavusoglu noted that he received information about the facilities and the Mosque was not damaged.

In addition, the imam of the temple, who leads the collective prayers and holds a leadership position in Islam, denied the veracity of these events.
