Cuba progresses in Glaucoma treatment (+ Photos)

Havana, Mar 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuba today celebrates World Glaucoma Day with notable breakthroughs for its treatment, while experts recommend an annual ophthalmological check-up to detect the disease in time and avoid irreversible blindness.

In statements to Prensa Latina, Dr. Isabel Obret from the Ramón Pando Ferrer Cuban Institute of Ophthalmology specified that patients begin with visual disorders, and many times they do not give it proper significance when thinking they already need to wear glasses.
