UK sanctions 386 deputies of the Russian Parliament

London, March 11 (Prensa Latina) The British government announced sanctions against 386 deputies of the Russian Duma (lower house of Parliament) who supported the independence of the self-proclaimed republics of Lugansk and Donetsk, in the region of Donbass, Ukraine.

As detailed by the Foreign Ministry, the sanctioned legislators will be banned from entering the United Kingdom, will not be able to access any assets they have in the country or do business with British companies.

The United Kingdom, the United States, the European Union and the rest of the allies have accused Putin of invading Ukraine, and implemented economic and financial sanctions against the highest representatives of the Russian State and Government, as well as Russian businessmen, banks, airlines and ships.

Western powers have also stepped up arms deliveries to Kiev in recent days and deployed more troops of NATO member countries close to Russian borders.
