This meeting will be held next March 19 and 20 at the headquarters of the solidarity association The People’s Forum, in Manhattan, New York, with the presence of 150 people, while hundreds of activists from other countries will do so virtually through online platforms.
Among the issues to be discussed are the ways to counteract anti-Cuban propaganda and spread the reality of the island, as well as the participation of Cuban women in society and gender equality, Nahen told this agency.
Faced with the persistence of hostility from Washington, we will continue to unify the various organizations with the purpose of creating an independent movement as united around Cuba as possible to force a change in policy towards the island, he assured.
The US-Cuba International Standards Conference Coalition is a broad-based, united effort with more than 5,000 members.
