In its weekly issue La lettre electronique Hebdo, the association founded in 1995 to promote bilateral collaboration stated that several mayors expressed the possibility of receiving the Cuban athletes since 2023, in order to support their training.
Regarding the update on the progress of the project related to Cuba and the next Olympic Games 2024 in Paris, CubaCoop president Victor Fernandez told Prensa Latina that he was satisfied with the results and scope of the initiative, which is still underway.
According to Fernandez, in the efforts for the Paris-2024 project, CubaCoop could have contacted with some municipalities for the first time and explore the options of extending cooperation with the Caribbean nation to areas beyond sports.
