According to the digital newspaper Punch, citing police sources, the gunmen, alleged terrorists, carried out these actions after they invaded a church in the locality of Kudenda, where they fired gunshots.
The source detailed that as part of their activity the alleged extremists kidnapped and took to an unknown location the religious father Joseph Aketh and a woman with her two children.
Just two days ago some 60 people were killed, including members of vigilante militias, following an armed assault by unidentified individuals in the northern state of Kebbi, according to authorities.
The alleged criminals also kidnapped civilians and seized several head of cattle in villages, the sources said.
In recent times, insecurity has increased in Nigeria, especially in northern areas, due to the increase in attacks against civilian and military targets by the Boko Haram group and other criminal groups.
