Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed that bilateral ties with Moscow are based on principles of non-confrontation, no alliance-building or attacking anyone, they will maintain the strategic approach and move forward in pursuit of closer partnership and coordination in the new era.
“China-Russia ties are valued for their independence, they are driven by strong internal dynamics and there are prospects for a brighter future,” Wang stressed.
The Chancellor also advocated that this spirit should prevail in relations with the EU, because if they are committed to dialogue and collaboration then they will provide more stabilizing factors to the turbulent global situation.
Regarding the United States, the head of diplomacy called on it to put ties back on the path of healthy development, to view China rationally and pragmatically and to abide by principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and cooperation in pursuit of shared gains.
“In this era of globalization marked by interdependence, finding a correct way of relations between China and the United States has been, up to now, a riddle, and figures as an equation for the two countries to solve together,” he said.
However, Wang deplored White House policies such as the new Indo-Pacific strategy, which he defined as a regional version of the NATO.
