The Arab Republic of Egypt requested an urgent meeting of the Council of that organization at the level of delegates to discuss the events underway in that European country, said a brief statement from the Foreign Ministry.

The Egyptian government reviewed last Wednesday (one day before the start of the conflict) its plans to deal with the impact of the crisis on raw materials and key products such as wheat and oil, as well as its impact on tourism.

Russia launched a military operation last Thursday after recognizing the People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, whose authorities requested help to repel Kiev’s aggression, which has been carried out against the population of those territories for eight years.
