Diaz-Canel congratulates Radio Rebelde on its 64th anniversary

Havana, Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Thursday congratulated Radio Rebelde, founded in Sierra Maestra during the struggle led by Fidel Castro against the tyranny of Fulgencio Batista, on its 64th anniversary.

Here Radio Rebelde, from the free territory of Cuba. Congratulations to its directors and to all producers, journalists and collaborators of the radio station founded by Fidel and Che (Ernesto Guevara) in Sierra Maestra on February 24, 1958, the president wrote on his Twitter account.

The radio station has national coverage and its morning program Haciendo Radio (Making Radio) is one of the news programs with the largest audience in the country.

According to Radio Rebelde’s website, President Diaz-Canel made a phone call to the director of the radio station, to whom he extended his congratulations to the staff as well.
