Members of the Marine Corps found the material while conducting surveillance and reconnaissance patrols in the area.
The instance clarified that military personnel carry out permanent operations in the border area, with inspections in the main access routes considered critical to prevent the entry of irregular armed groups from Colombia and counteract illicit activities. The central objective is to guarantee the security of citizens residing on the northern border.
