According to China Science Daily, the deposit is located in the region of Qiongjiagang and may be the third most important in the country after the existing one in Bailong Mountain in Xinjiang (northwest) and Jiajika in Sichuan Province (southwest).
Meanwhile, Qin Kezhang, head of the mission, explained that most of the samples studied corroborated that the mineral meets the necessary standards for its industrial exploitation, the conditions of the soil are favorable for the extractions and would not affect the environment of Everest.
Several investigations are still underway and some of them seek to determine if the presence of the veins leads to a much larger deposit.
