According to the Ministry of the Interior, the Caribbean island is, along with Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Venezuela, in the category of States with an absence of emerging variants of concern.

The countries of the European space and another 35 from Africa, Asia and Oceania are also in the green classification, while the rest are in orange, reserved for places with an active circulation of Covid-19.

France has not had a nation on the red and scarlet red lists for weeks, in which it placed the States with the greatest impact from the disease, to which almost six million fatalities are attributed on a global scale.

The device that the government applies to protect the health system and delay the entry of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern, includes the presentation of a complete vaccination scheme against Covid-19 as sufficient proof to enter the country.

It also establishes that unvaccinated travelers are required to show a negative test result upon arrival, but will not be subjected to measures upon arrival, such as virus detection tests and isolation, if they come from nations included in the green list.

For the countries on the orange list, the entry into France of non-immunized people is still conditional on the presentation of proof of compelling reason for travel.
