Syria follows with indignation the continuous escalation of brutal Israeli actions represented in land confiscation, house demolition and deportation of Palestinian families, particularly in East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a communique.

The text pointed out that the orders issued by the occupation authorities threaten the lives of the Palestinians and amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

They only lead to an escalation of the situation in the Palestinian territories in particular, and in the region in general, the communique stated.

The document also urged the world’s governments and international and humanitarian organizations to act immediately to stop these practices and prevent Tel Aviv from continuing to murder and persecute Palestinians.
