Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa discussed about the meeting in the German city of Bonn, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez wrote on Twitter.
Hafez tweeted that the forum is part of the actions Cairo’s authorities are promoting in view of the climate conference, to be held in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh in November.
During the meeting, Shoukry pointed out that one of the main objectives of COP27 will be to get that rich countries grant more funds to less developed countries.
Some few days earlier, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said that the event will promote a constructive dialogue based on the best practices to achieve ambitious results and initiatives to preserve the seas and the oceans.
