At the DPRK Embassy in Havana, Ambassador Ma Chol Su expressed gratitude for the shows of solidarity and friendship from Cuban organizations and the people on the occasion of such an important date for the Korean people.
Ma welcomed at the Embassy a delegation from various organizations and institutions that in recent years have displayed intense activity in order to promote the historic ties between the peoples and governments of Cuba and the DPRK.
On the occasion, the director of Asia and Oceania at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Alberto Blanco, delivered to the North Korean ambassador a response letter from President Miguel Diaz-Canel to his peer, Kim Jong Un, which will be sent to Pyongyang immediately, Ma noted.
Ma Chol Su also welcomed at the Embassy the president of the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina, Luis Enrique Gonzalez, who confirmed the work links with the Korean counterpart, KCNA.
Finally, the Korean ambassador stressed that the date commemorated today is one more step in the consolidation of friendship between both countries and peoples, something for which leader Kim Jong Il did so much.
