Syrian-Iranian ties changed the logic of international relations and the concept of political geography, as we are united by a true alliance of which we are proud, the deputy foreign minister said in his remarks during an event in Damascus on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

The diplomat assured that those since 2011 in this region have proven the correct historic reading of the founders of relations and their credibility.

According to Jaafari, Damascus highly appreciates Iran’s economic, political and military support for Syria in its battle against the plots against its integrity, culture and civilization.

He also assessed Iran’s responsible role within the international community as a country that respects the United Nations Charter and the principles of international law, and contributes to confronting the abuses and practices by imperialist powers.
