The event, to be held from October 7 to 8 at the Casa de las Americas Center, in Havana, will be the perfect setting for reflection on issues and challenges of progressive forces worldwide ahead of the reactionary offensive and the attempts of cultural neo-colonization by world powers, Enrique Ubieta, director of the magazine, stressed.
Participants -during four plenary sessions- will debate on issues closely related to imperialism; society and youth; unity and solidarity of left-wing parties, as well as to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro´s thought.
The meeting will be focused on Fidel Castro and the Argentine-Cuban revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara, Mr. Ubieta said.
In the context of this call, the Casa de las Americas Center President Abel Prieto presented the 13-18/2020-2021 dossier of the Cuba Socialista magazine.
This new edition includes some analyses by prestigious academics, essayists and national scientists regarding Cuba´s present reality.
According to Mr. Prieto, the edition has the virtue of showing the cultural war on Cuba from different angles, distancing itself from dogmatism and schemes to brilliantly explain methods applied against the Cuban Revolution since its triumph in 1959.
