During a ceremony held in Baghdad, Kazem Gharibabadi, Vice-President of Iran’s Judiciary for International Affairs, received those reports that will pave the way for an ongoing investigation.
Gharibabadi stressed Tehran and Baghdad’s interest in increasing cooperation, and the exchange of documents and information.
Particularly, both sides, he noted, reaffirmed the commitment to pursue and punish those involved in the deadly attack around the Baghdad airport.
The visitor revealed that on March 20, the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office will send to its Iraqi counterpart the indictment for the crime in order to prosecute those involved.
The US aviation killed Soleimani, al-Muhandis and other combatants on January 3, 2020, on command by then President Donald Trump.
