ARgelia, Egipto, solución, crisis, Libia
Cairo, Feb 10 (Prensa Latina) Egypt and Algeria have reiterated their support to a negotiated solution to the crisis in neighboring Libya and agreed to increase the economic, political and military ties between the two countries, an official communique reported on Thursday.

During a telephone conversation, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune agreed to maintain coordination on the Libyan issue, the text stated.

Both leaders called for respect to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Libya and rejected any interference in its internal affairs.

The situation in Libya was one of the main items analyzed during Tebboune’s visit to Cairo in January.

That neighboring country has been experiencing a spiral of violence since Muammar al-Gaddafi was overthrown in 2011, after a war supported by members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, among them the United States, France and the United Kingdom.

During their talks in January, El-Sisi and Tebboune also discussed the Palestinian cause and the efforts made to preserve the rights of that people and their aspirations to achieve an independent State.
