Cuba reports an average of 305.96, ahead of Chile (244.91), the United Arab Emirates (237.77), China (209.29), Brazil (174.46) and the United States (164.08), according to the latest figures from the statistics site of Oxford University, Our World in Data.
The website clarifies that all doses, including boosters, are counted individually and, as the same person can receive more than one injection, the number per 100 individuals can be more than 100.
The most recent report from Cuba’s Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) also reflects an increase to 9,849,252 inhabitants fully immunized against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, 88 percent of a population of around 11 million.
Of that total, 10,585,309 Cubans have received at least one dose, a figure that keeps this nation in the third place worldwide, only behind the United Arab Emirates and Portugal, and followed by Brazil, the United States, India, Indonesia and Mexico.
