The number of patients admitted fell by 868 to 15,393, including 9,750 suspected cases, 127 under surveillance and 5,516 confirmed active cases (548 less than the previous day), the Ministry said in a press release.

It highlighted that the authorized authorities granted 1,545 discharges (594 more than those diagnosed) and to date, 1,43,768 patients have been recovered (98.7 percent).

Health centers are treating 48 people in intensive care: 20 critically ill and 28 seriously ill, while the provinces with the highest number of cases are Ciego de Avila (136), Artemisa (95), Matanzas (92) and Holguin (74).
