Havana hosted the meeting between the rector of the Cuban institution, Santiago Lajes, and the vice-rector of the Dominican institution, Mauro Canario, both doctors in Science and interested in the constant ties of collaboration.
According to the website of the UC, present at the meeting between the two higher learning officials was Cuban Higher Education Minister Jose Ramon Saborido.
As a result of teacher training programs from the Dominican Republic in Cuba, more than 60 publications have been published in international databases, the source noted.
The UC maintains actions and links such as the recent International Scientific and Technological Convention, organized by the institution, a space where agreements were signed with the University of Cadiz, Spain.
Topics such as the challenges and opportunities for internationalization, studies to confront the health crisis, artificial intelligence for the benefit of society, and science management also stand out in UC programs.
