Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro condemns US blockade against Cuba

Venezuela, Maduro, condena, bloqueo, Cuba
Caracas, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Monday repeated his condemnation of the United States blockade against Cuba and his support for that sister nation.

On his Twitter account, the president pointed out that 60 years after the official coming into force of the United States blockade against the Cuban people, “we raise our voice, from all sectors, to reject this policy of war, imposed by who believe they are the ‘masters of the world’. Cuba will win!”

The Bolivarian Government, also a victim of Washington’s unilateral coercive measures, has spoken out on international stages against these punitive actions that also affect nations such as Iran, Nicaragua and others.

Venezuela repudiates the interventionist policy of the White House against developing nations and supports the sovereign right of peoples.

In this regard, the United Nations Security Council is debating on Monday the effects of unilateral coercive measures, which attack peoples.

Last Saturday, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel highlighted the example and resistance of his country in the face of the adversities imposed by the northern country for more than 60 years, which considerably affects Cubans.

“We are here! On our feet, dignified and firm. Calm, but attentive. Aware that those who go so far in their villainy will have no scruples in resorting to more perverse plans, if that allows them to erase this example of daring and resistance from the map,” the president tweeted.
