The terrorists surrendered following the mediation by the province’s tribal elders, The Khaama Press news agency reported.
The Nangarhar Intelligence Directorate stated that the surrenderers’ decision was based on the general amnesty announced by the Taliban supreme leader and added that the process will go on.
This is the eighth group of Daesh fighters that surrenders in Nangarhar province since the Taliban took over last year.
The surrender of the Daesh affiliates is conditioned and they are not allowed to go from one to another area without the Taliban’s permission, they cannot use weapons or military vehicles and cannot contact the wrongdoers, the source added.
