At least 181 families, who lives in 1,113 houses in Bonga, located at southwest Quilengues municipality, must be relocated for the moment, ANGOP news agency reported.
According to the source, the Chinese-owned company Niobonga proposed to build in a first phase 104 houses for the resettlement of the population.
Quilengues’ administrator Adriano Pedro told ANGOP that 2,456 people are subject to be relocated in stages, depending on the construction of infrastructures and the progress of the future mining activities.
According to the report, the niobium reserves in Bonga were estimated at approximately 19 million tons.
