El Aissami, who is also Venezuela’s Oil minister, recalled that this industry is one of the hardest-hit sectors by the blockade imposed by the White House, but it is recovering thanks to its workers, the companies and the use of national technologies.
In December 2021, Venezuela announced an increase in oil production of one million barrels a day, a figure that almost doubles the 530,000 barrels with which it started in 2021.
El Aissami highlighted that Venezuela is in a new post-rentier economic beginning and acknowledged the work of the banking sector.
