Putin explained Moscow’s key approaches on the issue to Draghi, and stressed the importance of respecting the fundamental principle of the indivisibility of security, as enshrined in the documents of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) at the highest level.
In relation to the concern expressed by Draghi regarding Ukraine, Putin explained that Kiev is evading its obligations, especially the political aspects of the resolution of the conflict in Donbass.
In another part of the conversation with the Italian prime minister, Putin stressed Moscow’s willingness to continue guaranteeing the stable supply of natural gas to that country.
They also addressed other issues on the bilateral agenda, such as cooperation in the economic and commercial fields, and shared information on the measures that the countries take to stop the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
