Cuba´s hospitalization toll surged to 28,523, suspected cases (13,735), under health surveillance (162) and 14,622 confirmed active cases (204 more than Saturday´s report), according to the daily report released by the Public Health Ministry (MINSAP, in Spanish).
2,761 cases were confirmed contacts, 31 with a source of infection from abroad, and the origin of contagion could not be determined in 37.
Local health authorities discharged 2,618 patients, so as many as 1,900,589 million (97.8% of all those confirmed) recovered.
14,626 patients are nowadays hospitalized, 14,557 with stable clinical progress, 69 treated in ICUs: 34 critically-ill and 35 serious conditions.
Province reporting highest number of positive cases (465) was Holguín.
Cuba has so far reached 1,042,671 diagnosed people since March 11, 2020, so the country´s death toll jumped to 8,397.
