Aimed at reactivating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal, the negotiations began in April 2021, with a parenthesis until November.
An unidentified source told Mehr news agency that the parties had agreed to hold consultations in their respective capitals aware of the need for political decisions.
As for the talks, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi reiterated that the abolition of United States coercive measures against the Islamic republic is not the central whole.
“If the rest of the JCPOA signatory countries are willing to lift those measures against Iran, a good deal is possible,” he said.
The talks in Vienna focus on finding a way to make the United States return to the deal that it illegally abandoned in May 2018 at the request of then President Donald Trump, and later led to an economic siege against Iran.
