The meeting aims to give continuity to the implementation of the ideas, concepts and guidelines that resulted from the 8th PCC Congress, held in April 2021, and to elect the party’s intermediate leadership.
All these are based on a comprehensive, objective and critical analysis, in correspondence with the country’s current situation and the particularities of each territory.
The PCC balance meetings began in the Havana municipality of Cotorro in November last year, a process that was resumed at early this month.
In October 2021, during the 2nd Plenum of the PCC Central Committee, Diaz-Canel emphasized the need to accentuate the exemplary nature of the party members and strengthen unity with the people in the face of the attempts to subvert internal order.
In addition, he advocated transforming the work of grassroots organizations and structures at all levels, and stressed that the PCC should focus on ensuring the political, ideological, economic and social processes.
