The presidential appointees Salvador Nasralla, of the Salvador Party of Honduras; Doris Gutiérrez, from Innovation and Unity, and Renato Pineda, from Libre promised to “be faithful to the Republic, comply with and enforce the Constitution and the laws”, during the 2022-2026 period.

The ceremony at the National Stadium in Tegucigalpa was attended by, among other personalities, the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris; the foreign minister of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard; the deputy president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández; the former president of Bolivia Evo Morales and the king of Spain, Felipe VI.
