All actions to ensure stability, promote economic growth and move towards important social goals in our region and nationwide are stumbling against the criminality of the TPLF, TDP Secretary-General Gidena Medhin said.
Our organization, he commented, condemns the damages it inflicts on the states of Tigray, Amhara and Afar particularly, and holds it responsible for most of the social and economic challenges the people of Tigray has faced in the last 47 years.
This Front, therefore, must be eliminated from Ethiopia to ensure peace, stability and development of the country and the region particularly, he stressed. Since November 2020, Tigray has been engaged in a war of the federal army against the TPLF, which has been declared terrorist by Parliament and has been accused of violating human rights, among many other crimes.
During the last six months, Ethiopia has received significant support for Tigray, but federal and regional authorities repeatedly denounced actions of the insurgent group to hinder humanitarian efforts.
