The coordinator of the Russian YouTube Europe channel for Cuba, Elena Lozhkina, reported that the event will take place on April 3 and 4 and will involve all friends of Cuba through the media and social networks.
She pointed out that the objective is to demonstrate that Cuba is not alone in the face of Washington’s economic, financial and commercial blockade, which will be rejected again in the next voting at the United Nations General Assembly, after 29 resolutions against that coercive measure have been adopted by that forum since 1992.
The 24-hour initiative against the US blockade, as the marathon was named, is organized by the Europe for Cuba channel and is supported by the most diverse forces of international activism that reject Washington’s policy, imposed on the Caribbean island for more than 60 years.
From social networks, such as YouTube and Telegram, radio, television and alternative media, let’s join our voices in a 24-hour counter-hegemonic offensive, said channel moderators Jose Antonio Toledo and Patricia Perez when presenting the call, which is aimed at maintaining uninterrupted 24-hour broadcasts with the contribution of the most diverse media and the participation of friends of Cuba from all over the world.
Lozhkina pointed out that new details on the organization of the marathon will be offered in the next editions of the Europe for Cuba channel.
