The project, in charge of the Marti Club belonging to the institution declared a National Monument, includes documents, publications, photos and posters that are part of its patrimonial funds and the commemorative celebrations that will cover a whole year.

A symbol of the Cuban culture in and outside the country, the Jose Marti National Library (BNJM) will be the venue for the launching of the “Leer a Marti” (Reading Marti) contest, aimed at disseminating the thoughts of the Cuban independence hero among the new generations during its 23rd edition.

The National and International Day for the 170th anniversary of the birth of the poet and National Hero is convened by the Office of the Marti Program and its Institutional System, the International Network of Jose Marti Chairs, and the World Council of the Jose Marti Project for World Solidarity.
