The diplomat denounced at the UN Security Council that the hysterical continuation of those attacks is a flagrant violation of the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement and the UN resolutions related to the occupied Syrian Golan.
Those acts are a clear evidence of Tel Aviv’s support to terrorism in Syria and other countries, and they are a dangerous escalation that threatens peace and security in the region, Sabbagh said.
The official urged the Security Council to come out of its silence and assume its responsibilities in virtue of the United Nations Charter and dissuade the Israeli forces from continuing its violations.
He also ratified Damascus’ right to recover the Israeli-occupied Golan by all means guaranteed under international law.
Since the war against Syria began in 2011, Israel has launched dozens of missile attacks on targets of the Syrian army and its allies, which were condemned and considered by Damascus as direct support to terrorism.
