Solidarity activist Alicia Jrapko’s death mourned in France

Paris, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) The French solidarity association Cuba Linda on Friday lamented the death of Argentine-American activist Alicia Jrapko, whom it defined as an immense friend of Cuba and a tireless fighter for justice and the dignity of the peoples.

In a statement, the association on Tuesday expressed sadness for Jrapko’s death and highlighted her work accompanying Cuba in causes such as the condemnation of the US blockade, Elian Gonzalez’s return to homeland and the release of the Five.

We salute her memory and express our most sincere condolences to her family and friends, the association stressed.

Cuba Linda recalled experiences shared with Jrapko in the defense of the Revolution, the most recent of which was the international campaign to award Cuba’s Henry Reeve medical brigades with the Nobel Peace Prize for their contribution in the fight against Covid-19 in dozens of nations.

Alicia was a great revolutionary, her example and her smile will long shine in the heart of the movement of solidarity with Cuba, the association stated.
